Although the campaign at the 2017 Longines FEI European Championships did not end quite as Derin hoped for, he and Harry K leave Gothenburg many experiences richer after being able to jump two extremely tough rounds against some of the best in the sport.
"It was a great learning experience, taking part at the Longines FEI European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden," Derin comments. "I had a great season leading up to the championships, so I had my goals set high and result-wise not all of them were met. However, I feel like I am walking away with valuable lessons and it has been a joy to compete against Europe's best riders and horses."
